Additional Details
Animal Farm by George Orwell is a beast fable concerning a group of farm animals that rebel against their human farmer. The animals attempt to create a more free and equal society for themselves, but their rebellion is betrayed and soon some animals become "more equal than others." This leads to a state as bad as before and eventually the animals find themselves under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon. Animal Farm is considered one of the greatest works of English literature. Orwell has said that the book reflects events leading up to the Russian Revolution and Stalinist era to follow.
