Additional Details
Dr. Futurity is a 1960 science fiction novel by Philip K. DIck. It has a time travel premise in which a twenty-first century doctor is pulled 400 years into the future to a dystopian world that is using eugenics and euthanasia to perfect the human race. There he becomes involved in a complicated time-hopping plot to assassinate Sir Francis Drake in order to change the course of history and prevent the subjugation of the Native Americans and preserve their way of life. The novel is an expansion of Dick's earlier short story "Time Pawn", originally published in the summer 1954 issue of Thrilling Wonder Stories.
