Privacy Policy
Effective 2026Mostly Dystopian Books is a private collection showcase. No books are sold here. No accounts are created. No purchases are processed. This site exists to catalog and share a personal collection of rare and first-edition books — nothing more, and nothing less.
This site does not collect personal information. There are no registration forms, no purchase flows, no newsletter sign-ups, and no user accounts of any kind.
Like virtually all web servers, this site generates standard server logs. These logs record basic technical information — IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, referral source, and timestamps — for the purposes of diagnosing technical problems and understanding general traffic patterns. These logs are not shared with third parties and are not used for advertising or profiling.
If you contact us by email, we will have your email address and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to you. We do not add correspondents to mailing lists or share contact details with anyone.
This site is powered by Bibliopolis, a catalog platform for rare book dealers. Bibliopolis may collect standard technical information as part of operating the platform. You can read their privacy policy at bibliopolis.com/privacy.
This site may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with it in aggregate. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by using a browser extension such as uBlock Origin.
This site uses only functional cookies — small data files stored in your browser that allow the site to remember preferences such as your preferred view (gallery or list). These cookies contain no personal information and are not used for advertising.
Third-party services such as Google Analytics may set their own cookies. You can disable or clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. For more information about cookies generally, visit allaboutcookies.org.
This site does not employ behavioral tracking, and there is no meaningful distinction between honoring and not honoring a Do Not Track signal here. Your browsing of this catalog is not tracked for commercial purposes under any circumstances.
This policy may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be reflected here with a revised effective date. Given the nature of this site, significant changes are unlikely.
Questions about this privacy policy or about the collection can be directed to pkd@foreseeing.com.
