Hombre (1961) is one of Leonard's finest westerns, following a white man raised by Apaches forced to defend a stagecoach of passengers who despise him. Basis for the 1967 film starring Paul Newman. This first hardcover edition was published by the Armchair Detective Library in 1989, the first time the novel appeared in hardcover. Signed and inscribed by Leonard on the title page.
