Jemisin, four previously unpublished, ranging across alternate history, cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic, and Afrofuturist territory. The title is drawn from a 2013 essay Jemisin wrote on Afrofuturism. Published the same year Jemisin became the first author to win three consecutive Hugo Awards for Best Novel.
