Without a Map

Scarce limited edition

Without a Map is a limited edition paperback published by the Aqueduct Press. It was limited to 175 numbered copies of which this is copy #141. It features writings by Nnedi Okorafor, the award-winning Nigerian American sf/fantasy writer, and Mary Anne Mohanraj, a Sri Lankan American writer.  The book contains short pieces by Mohanraj and an excerpt by Okorafor from Stormbringer, an apparent sequel to Okorafor's young adult, dystopian fantasy The Shadow Speaker, which according to the author's own tweets got shelved. However, in 2023, DAW Books reissued The Shadow Speaker and a sequel with the title Like Thunder. The excerpt contained here within is more than likely from the shelved version of Like Thunder that was originally titled Stormbringer. It features the same character of Dikéogu who has the ability to summon rain. This easily has to be Okorafor's scarcest book.
