Additional Details
The World Jones Made is set in a post-apocalyptic future where Earth is governed by a Federal World Government (Fedgov) following the collapse of major nations after a devastating nuclear war. Laws are based on a political orthodoxy known as “Relativism,” which says that people can believe whatever they want as long they don’t push those beliefs on others. Recreational sex and drug consumption are also endorsed by law. Dissidents of Relativism are sent to labor camps. Floyd Jones, a charismatic precog with the ability to see up to one year into the future, rises to power and overthrows Fedgov to become a world dictator. Fun and entertaining early PKD novel that explores questions of predestination and free will.
