Sell England?

Sell England? (1936) by Dacre Balsdon is a satirical dystopia set in a future United Kingdom inhabited entirely by a decadent aristocracy, its working population having been relocated to Africa under a totalitarian regime. Balsdon, a classicist and Fellow at Exeter College, Oxford, better known for his scholarship on Roman history, uses the premise to skewer the class anxieties and imperial assumptions of the interwar period. An uncommon title from an author who rarely ventured into speculative fiction.
