Philip K. Dick's screenplay adaptation of Ubik, written in 1974 at the request of a French production company. The script includes scenes not found in the novel and features an alternate ending. Despite several attempts over the years, no film adaptation has been produced. Published in a total edition of 1,250 copies, this is one of 50 deluxe copies signed by the artists, Tim Powers, and Paul Williams, and containing a tipped-in Dick signature from a cancelled check. Also laid in are four color advertisement sheets for the fictional consumer product Ubik, with humorous ad copy in the style of the novel's chapter epigraphs.
