"The Metal Doom" serialized in Amazing Stories: May, June & July 1932

First edition, 1932
In The Metal Doom, David H. Keller imagines a catastrophic future in which all metal on Earth simultaneously and inexplicably loses its structural integrity. As steel, iron, and alloys crumble, transportation, industry, warfare, and the infrastructure of modern civilization collapse together. Written at a moment when industrial progress was widely celebrated, the story functions as a disaster narrative that exposes the total dependence of civilization on a single material. Originally serialized in three parts in Amazing Stories (Vol. 7, Nos. 2-4), May, June, and July 1932. All three issues feature cover art and interior illustrations by Leo Morey.

Softcover. First Edition. Large printed wrappers. New York: Teck Publishing Co., 1932. #10957.
All three are very good. In addition to usual aging and wear, first volume has a short tear on front cover and preliminary pages, and third volume has a couple small tape repairs.
