The World of Aldous Huxley - An Omnibus of His Fiction and Non-Fiction Over Three Decades

Inscribed by Huxley in 1947 to a friend

The World of Aldous Huxley is an omnibus collection of both fiction and non-fiction writings by the author. It includes the complete text of the novel, Antic Hay, as well as a selection of stories, poems, and essays.  Edited with an Introduction by Charles J. Rolo. This copy is specially signed & inscribed by Huxley in the year of publication on the first flyleaf inside: "For Ted / this old stuff from an old friend / Aldous / 1947." Nice inscription presumably to someone he considered a friend.

Hardcover. First Edition thus, First Printing. Octavo, bound in black cloth. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1947. #10209.
Very good copy in dust jacket with some nicking and a few very short tears but very presentable overall.
