Direct sequel to Little Brother, picking up with Marcus several years later, now working with a WikiLeaks-style whistleblower organization after receiving a data dump of explosive government secrets. The novel deals with the tension between radical transparency and personal safety, and with the question of when and how to act on damaging information in a surveillance-saturated political environment. More politically nuanced than the first book. Signed by Doctorow on the title page.
