Copy "J" of 26 lettered & signed by Carver. The lettered edition was hardbound by hand and issued for personal use of the author and publishers. 8vo marble paper-covered boards. This copy is additionally INSCRIBED by Carver on the front free-endpaper: "For Bert Babcock / with my warm wishes. / Ray Carver / Durham! / Oct. 18, 1982." Bert Babcock published a separate press book by Carver entitled My Father's Life under the imprint Babcock & Koontz. Nice association. Also includes original publisher's announcement prospectus.

Fine copy with original acetate cover which has chip at crown of spine.
