Thin Air

Thin Air (2018) is a standalone novel set on a colonized Mars, following Hakan Veil, a former "hibernoid," a soldier engineered to spend extended periods in deep hibernation and to wake violence-ready. Now working as hired muscle for a corporate oversight mission, Veil is assigned to protect an Earth auditor investigating the Martian colonial administration when things go badly wrong. The novel shares Morgan's characteristic concerns with corporate power, engineered human variants, and the costs of violence, this time transplanted to a frontier setting that allows him to examine colonialism and resource extraction in a different light. Signed and dated by Morgan on the title page.
